Solomon Reaves
Court talk paints him as brittle and absolute — a thin, wiry presence in charcoal double-breasted suits, all sharp angles and cold stone. Neonates who have seen him at Elysium remember the silence that follows when he enters: not applause, attention.

What You Were Taught
- In 1973, Prince Elijah Crenshaw disappeared. Solomon Reaves — Crenshaw’s childe — assumed the Princedom and has held it for over twenty years.
- Under Solomon, Phoenix is spoken of as a stable Camarilla domain: Anarchs and independents still exist, but open war is not the nightly weather.
- In 1989 he brought in Roland Cross as Sheriff — a long Southwest resume and a reputation for precision. That hire told the city the Prince intended to keep a tight grip.
- Reputation to neonates: stability-minded, and bruising when challenged. He is not Cordelia’s salon; he is the crown.
Details of 1973, private contracts, and who wants the throne next are not neonate knowledge. Treat rumor as rumor until court makes it fact.
How His Court Works (Public Face)
What you can safely assume before you take the floor:
- Presentation happens under Elysium law at Hawthorne — Harpy notation, Sheriff watch, Primogen presence.
- The Prince recognizes (or rejects) standing; the Harpy records how it looked; the Sheriff enforces what happens after.
- The Primogen Council advises and constrains — it does not replace praxis while Solomon sits.
- Insults in his presence are expensive. Boons are currency. Masquerade failures are worse.
The Office
The Prince is the Camarilla’s recognized sovereign of the city: final word on the Traditions inside the domain, patron of its officers, and the face of its justice. Night after night, who is Acknowledged, who is punished, when Elysium stands inviolate, and when a blood hunt is called all flow from the throne—even though elders, Primogen, Harpies, and outsiders never stop testing it. The Prince grants and withdraws the reputation that makes Camarilla politics run, hears the accusations that touch Masquerade and open revolt, and sets sentences the court is expected to carry out. Officers act in the Prince’s name; without princely Acknowledgment, a Kindred has no claim on the city’s protections and may be fair game for its scourges. Solomon holds that office in Phoenix. The crown is heavy; the job is to make the domain obey it.
